![]() Hi everyone! My name is Gail Wagner. I write YA Paranormal/Fantasy. I always feel strange saying that I’m an author…mostly because this was so not on my list of things I wanted to be when I grew up. I had much different plans. Unfortunately full-time Disney Princess didn’t pan out, pop star required me to actually sing in front of a crowd and teachers have to have a knack for patience I clearly didn’t have! So here I am, writing books! One thing I totally had going for me was the fact that I love to read. I’ve been reading since before kindergarten. It’s one of my favorite things to do, followed closely by thrift store shopping and watching Netflix marathons (Hello Chuck!). I started my first novel in February 2009. It took me about 18 months to complete the first draft…in my defense we moved 5 times during those months. I started querying and actually got picked up by a publisher! In July, 2012, Donegal Sidhe: Army of Sorrow was published. Since then I have been picked up by Serendipity Agency. We are in the process of partner-publishing my book Let Her Sleep (It should be out by the end of this month…cross my fingers!) and they are submitting my other novel Curiosity Killed The Crow to publishers. As for my first book? Well it’s kind of in novel limbo. I took back the rights from publisher as we had “creative differences” and it’s waiting for a new home. If you’d like to check out some of my writing, I am on Wattpad and both of my latest novels are partially up. One of the best things about being an author (see there’s that word again!) is getting to interact with readers! I love to fangirl over my favorite series with other crazy fans! And if someone likes my books enough to do that, even better! For now I’ll just keep writing, because for some reason once I turned on that crazy storytelling part of my brain, I can’t seem to turn it off! About Gail Wagner![]() I have always had a love of books. I was the kid you saw walking down the hall with her nose in a book, the one who read under her desk while the teacher taught, and the one who had already read all the required reading assignments just for fun. I'll read anything that stands still long enough...including the backs of shampoo bottles, should I get bored enough! I live in the Four Corners area with my (very patient) husband, our three children, and a big black cat. For more information check www.gailwagnerbooks.com. I'm glad you took back the rights to Army of Sorrow. I didn't like the way the editor was more of a cheery, atta-girl front for the publisher than an editor.

...And the one significant change that she did make was absolutely wrong, IMO.
