Thanks to A. Katie Rose for allowing me to write a guest post for her blog. The post is called Ninja Author and is about how the writer inside of me has taken over my life without me ever planning for that to occur. It crept up on me just like a ninja.

Hey Scarlett! I finally got around to checking out your website :D. Looks great. I went to a e-book for beginners day on Sat run through the SA writers' centre! It was really useful! I highly recommend it if it comes around again for your self-publishing ventures in the future! Keep up the good work and keep in touch! :)

Hi Liana. I saw that on their email newsletter and wanted to go! Oh well, I'm sure there will be lots of other things to go to. Will definitely keep in touch. Happy writing :)

First, I would like to say I love your site! It's beautiful! You did this on Weebly? Wow! I use Weebly, but can't seem to get it to be this good! Can you tell me how you did it?
Second, I love your character pictures! I haven't read much, but I'm looking forward to reading your blog!

Hi Jen. Thank you so much! You're comments are really appreciated :)
Weebly is really easy to use (much easier than some other hosting sites) once you know how to use it. Try scrolling through Weebly's free templates. They have some lovely ones, for instance the template I use is one of their free ones.
I have done some desktop publishing so I do have some understanding of how to lay things out nicely. The simplest and most effective tip is to try to get everything to line up with something else. For instance get the margins of your images to line up, or line up with the top or bottom line of you text. Also, rarely use center align on either images or text. It can look ok but generally looks messier and old fashioned.
I have looked at your site and it looks pretty good. I think you just need a different template that contains your content in a border similar to this one.
Happy writing and good luck with your website design. If you have any questions feel free to ask me anything :D
